Research and Development

The specific expertise of HELGRAMED through its board and its members, covers a wide range of activities and projects both at national and European levels in research for the continuous development of education and training at all levels of graphic communication and media technology.

In particular members of the Union is involved in various EU projects (CustomDp, SELEAC, OWLNet, Lean Manufacturing for Graphic Media, Energy Efficiency for graphic-media SMEs, Lean Manufacturing and Marketing for Graphic Media and EKFI project on learning material exchange platform).

HELGRAMED members are forming research teams which work on various R&D projects with other scientific organizations, companies and the industry.

Among others, the projects include:
- Innovation in graphic media and packaging technology and management,
- Curricula development, learning environments and platforms, distance and e-learning projects, adult and workplace learning and blended learning for vocational training and higher/tertiary education.
- Development of Job profiles and occupational standards, development of competencies, evaluation and certification of competences in the fields of graphic communication, printing and media technology fields.
